Due to the fact that the students will be working with local employees and quite possibly with employees who don’t speak English, the student gets the opportunity to learn from the people they meet at the workplace and outside. Almost every job posting, regardless of the Industry, highlights cross-cultural skills and sensitivity as a key requirement.

Through the Internship, the Students will be able to build an international network of contacts. The people with whom the Students build relationships, could help them secure a job in the relevant field or their country or might even offer a job when the internship ends.

Whichever industry the student chooses to do his/her internship, there are many standards adopted by the industry and this may differ from country to country. For example, there may be Auditing Standards, Safety Standards, ISO Standards, Standards for Medical Device, Financial Reporting Standards and so on. By undertaking an International Internship, the Student will get to understand the standards adopted by that particular company vis-à-vis the International Standards that are followed. This will add immense value to the Student’s career.

Hands-on learning has many benefits to the students. Students who practice what they are learning in a hands-on environment can often retain three and a half times as much as opposed to just sitting in a lecture room and listening intently.
